hello and welcome to the Avid recruitment video let's start off with the meaning of avid so Avid means advancement via individual determination this program seeks to ensure that all are prepared not only for college but for other endeavors and also high school life one of the main core strategies that we used to help individuals excel in high school as well as be more prepared for college are our Wicked core strategies strategies stand for W-4 writing I for inquiry and critical thinking and see for collaboration as well as organization in Reading organization the key part of avid and every student has an organized binder and is encouraged to take Cornell notes in now let's talk to some Abbott students and hear their experience hi my name is Army and I am a senior this is my first year in heaven I wish I could drawing salve it a lot to learn but it didn't help me with my College nursing scholarship and many more in high school always in one including how to apply for college with stuff to do to prepare for college and stay on top of my grades for when I do get the college and even though I'm not going to go to college this year because of the funeral military service I know that when I do get the college I know I can get in hi my name is Cole and I have been an avid sandpaper 80 year that I've experienced for many years has taught me the value of leadership and dependence and to always stay on top of your work at all times Advocate help you create new friendships learn new skills you can bring with you. and so much more are graduating early High School ten times easier it's one of the main reasons why I'm graduating early and why I was able to maintain good grades while being into sports and having high red my name is Christian and I'm going to be showing you some rabbit activities that we have done for the past four years such as classic the Bates College Fair group projects college campuses bonding exercises fundraisers I love all my peeps and I think the article study group Six Flags act and ACT practice exams letter to Future Self Ohana Circles by energix csg's weekly vocabulary for foglio's fast for application help on college applications and also applying to different scholarships all these things are tied into college helping us get ready for college what's your eyes fast applications and helping on are college applications that is very important and you will be doing your senior year so if you guys are interested going to college and you need an extra assistance and Aid to apply to college have it is the place for you and also it feels like a family it's welcoming and it's perfect
