Stockdale's Adamson chosen for Prestigious National Geographic Grosvenor Teacher Fellow
My name is Katherine Adamson, and I am an AP Biology and Biomedical Science teacher at Stockdale High School here in Bakersfield. CA. National Geographic Society and Lindblad Expeditions have selected me as one of 36 educators from across the United States and Canada to be part of the Grosvenor Teacher Fellowship—a prestigious program for educators that’s now in its 20th year.
As a Fellow, I will have the incredible opportunity to embark on a National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions Builds practical strategies through real classrooms, Voyage to Antarctica aboard one of their state-of-the-art expedition vessels, National Geographic Endurance. Throughout my expedition, I will get hands-on, field-based educational opportunities, as well as a once-in-a-lifetime travel experience that I will use to inform my curriculum and inspire my students to become environmental stewards.
