As we prepare for the 2017 - 2018 school year, I’m very excited to join the Stockdale community as Principal. The tradition of excellence is well-established and the faculty and staff remain committed to providing all students with a comprehensive educational experience that is second to none!
A successful school involves parents so I encourage all parents to participate in school activities, join the parent organization, Parent Organization Supporting Student Education (POSSE), and support your students in their endeavors in high school. We have many valuable resources to keep you informed. The new website is much improved and will keep you up to date on all activities that are happening at school. It includes the daily bulletin, information about special schedules, athletics, activities, college/scholarship information and much more. Check it out at http://stockdale.kernhigh.org. I also encourage you to sign up for a Synergy account to stay informed on attendance and grades for your student.
The school site council is another opportunity for parent involvement. This group is made up of staff, students, and parents and makes decisions regarding the funding of programs and operations of the school. Elections for open positions will be held this fall. Any parent interested in an open position should contact the School Office Supervisor at 665-2800 ext. 30 by Friday, August 18th. A three or four sentence summary of your qualifications/interests will be required and printed on the ballot. The election for parent representatives will take place during Back-to-School night on Thursday, August 24th. The first meeting for site council is scheduled on Monday, October 2nd beginning at 5:30 PM.
