Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica

Academic Requirements:

To be eligible for the Society, students must meet all of the following criteria at the time of initiation (initial application):

• Student must be in at least the 10th grade.
• Student must be enrolled in Spanish 3 or higher at the time of initiation having completed a minimum of 3 semesters of Spanish coursework. 
• Student must be actively enrolled in a Spanish class or have taken and passed the highest level of Spanish offered at Stockdale High School.
• Student must have a 3.5 GPA average for all Spanish courses.
• Student must have an overall 3.0 GPA average for all high school courses.
• Student must have never failed a class.

• All members must apply annually and pay applicable fees.
• Members should join the SHH group on Parent Square and pay attention to all messages regarding society updates.
• Returning members must have continued participation, but do not have to be enrolled in Spanish if they have previously joined while taking Spanish. 
• Members must stay in good standing academically (see above). 
• Members must earn 12 activity points each year of membership.Returning members who have at least 9 service points may continue membership but must complete the deficient service units in order to be considered in good standing and eligible for accolades. 
• Community Service requirements per the informational meeting at the beginning of the year
• Seniors must complete community service hours by early deadline in order to qualify for a Graduation stole and scholarships.
