When a student is absent from class, that absence must be cleared by a not or telephone call from the parent or guardian within 72-hours (the end of the third day) after the student returns to class. Absences not cleared within the 72-hour period of time will be recorded as cuts and the Cut Policy will go into effect.
Once the 72-hour window of clearance closes, NO CORRECTIONS MAY BE MADE.
Absences may be cleared by any of the following methods:
- Call the attendance office directly: 665-2845 or 665-2846 – Ring to answering machine
- Call the 24-hour attendance telephone message service @ 665-2309
- Send a note to the attendance office clearing the absence with your student when he/she returns to school
